Calculating Pond Liner SizeTo determine the liner size you need:
It is generally a good idea to add 2 feet to both of these measurements to allow for error and a few inches over the pond edge. Example: A pond 6 ft. Wide x 11 ft. Long and 1 1/2 ft. deep will need a liner 11 x 16. Width: 6 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 2 =11 Length: 11 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 2 =16 One and one half feet deep was only used as an example. This depth may not be sufficient for some areas and is not deep enough for a koi pond. Adjust your size accordingly. |
